January 1, 2062 = Happy New Year Chummers.
Dee Cee Sprawl, About four hundred of Morningstar's supporters converged on the Children of the Dragon temple but were stopped at the property line by security. David Dragonson tried to address the crowd to calm them down but someone cast a confusion spell at him. It was quickly dispelled, but not before a riot was sparked leaving one person dead and fifteen injured. Crèches across the nation responded to the incident and polarized into camps supporting either Dragonson or Morningstar.

January 2, 2062 = Chicago, Illinois, UCAS, the Sears Tower appeared in its old location from sunup to sundown, when it just as mysteriously vanished. Several people who had been exploring the building were reported to have been injured or killed.

January 3, 2062 = Japan, Prime Minister Kazama belatedly confirmed the death of Emperor Kenichi and most of his immediate family in the Unzen eruption. Apparently, the Emperor and his family were attending the re-dedication of a Shinto shrine on one of their estates on the shore of Aiake-kai near Shimabara and were presumably swept away by either a volcanic mudslide or the resulting tsunami. With the recent deaths in the surviving members of the Imperial Family, the title of Emperor is passed to Yasuhito, the 14-year-old grandson of Emperor Kenichi and his sole surviving direct descendant. The delay of the announcement was attributed to the need to recover and bury the bodies of Emperor Kenichi and his family. The Prime Minister also announced that Yasuhito's distant cousin Taro Yonekura, one of the few members of the Imperial Family still living, will serve Yasuhito as Sessho (regent) until Yasuhito turns eighteen.

January 4, 2062 = UCAS, all, but one, Children of the Dragon board members declared their loyalty to Dragonson almost immediately, leaving him in charge of the center of faith, and temples. Dragonson capitalized on this by declaring that all those who left the faith to follow Morningstar were banned from the temples until they returned to the church. This decision turned the temple areas into a sort of warzone, because many crèches - particularly those with active street ministries - joined Morningstar. The chaos reigned across the nation as the main temples fell under siege and Crèches fought against each other according to their own alliances.

January 5, 2062 = Tacoma, A 16-year-old boy is in intensive care after "car surfing" on a moving vehicle. The teenager fell Monday afternoon from a moving van on a busy road near Kent. He hit his head on the road and is now in Seattle Children's Hospital.


January 6, 2062 = Japan, Mitsuhama Computer Technologies issued a formal announcement protesting Yasuhito's appointment to the throne, on the grounds that he is incapable of gathering popular support. Other Japanese megacorps quickly follow suit.

January 7, 2062 = Japan, Despite the opposition of the Japanese megacorporations, with the exception of Yamatetsu, which supports Yasuhito, the new Emperor's supporters in the Diet began an initiative within the Diet's two houses to open Japan as a free market, lowering tariffs and trade restrictions on extranational companies.

January 8, 2062 = Denver, FRFZ, Ghostwalker attacked the home of Pueblo Corporate Council sector president Julio Caron. Caron was not home at the time of the attack.

January 9, 2062 = Japan, Yasuhito gained the support of the majority of the Shinto and Buddhist priesthood and reputedly at least one influential family as well as the popular support of the Diet.

January 10, 2062 = The UCAS Department of Health and Metahuman Services (DHMS) issued a national alert regarding the shedim. It recommended that all bodies be cremated from now on. The alert sparked protests from various religious groups, which holds cremation as against their basic beliefs.

January 11, 2062 = Renton, A suspected drunk driver plowed into a stopped car on the Evergreen Point Bridge early Thursday, causing a five-car pileup and critically injuring a Bellevue woman.

January 12, 2062 = CAS, the federal government, in order to deal with the shedim threat, announced a bounty of 100,000 nuyen for the capture of any magician found reanimating corpses. Several voudoun groups have responded with varying degrees of protest.

January 13, 2062 = Japan, Taro Yonekura recruited several oni to serve in the Imperial guard.
Denver, FRFZ, The UCAS and the Sioux Council ordered their security forces to stand down from attacking Ghostwalker and exhorted others to simply let the dragon be. The Ute and Pueblo Corporate Councils adapted a policy of defensive attacks only, while the Aztlan and CAS sectors continued their policies of shooting the dragon on sight.

January 14, 2062 = Several Matrix nodes were vandalized with messages advocating a military campaign against Aztlan to retake Texas land.

January 15, 2062 = A Snohomish man was shot and wounded when his wife opened their motel room door to a masked man early Wednesday. The shooting happened about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday at a motel in the 16000 block of Highway 99, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reported. Sheriff's deputies arrived to find that the 45-year-old victim had been shot in the abdomen. But he was alert and was able to talk to deputies before being transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He is expected to survive his injuries.

January 16, 2062 = Denver, FRFZ, Ghostwalker attacked Fort Carson in the Pueblo Corporate Council sector, demolishing it. Then, he attacked seemingly random locations within the CAS sectors Chinatown.

January 17, 2062 = A Sons of the Alamo pirate trid station hit the airwaves with propaganda messages against Aztlan, followed by leaflet drops and other more unconventional propaganda methods.

January 18, 2062 = Denver, FRFZ, Ghostwalker destroyed Denver Foodstuffs Inc in the Sioux Council sector. That afternoon, Aztlan airlifted military forces from Manchaca, Aztlan, to their FRFZ sector in direct violation of the Treaty of Denver. Aztlan Council representative, Hector Ramirez, commented, "We have been subjected to terrorism of the worst kind. No one feels safe anymore. How can we reassure our people that the dragon will suddenly change it's mind? It is an unrealistic expectation. We must be ready to defend our home and, if necessary, bring this threat to an end."

January 19, 2062 = Denver, FRFZ, Ghostwalker attacked the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in the UCAS sector and the Lakeside Amusement Park in the Ute Council sector.

January 20, 2062 = The British Navy discovered a cargo ship on the southern shore of Bermuda that was infested with shedim-possessed bodies. Two boarding party members were killed before the soldiers could destroy the ship with napalm.

January 21, 2062 = Denver, FRFZ, Ghostwalker attaked Ares Macrotechnology's subsidiary Ares Arms in the CAS sector.

January 22, 2062 = Denver, FRFZ, In response to Ghostwalkers recent attacks and Aztlan's troop movements; the CAS moved troops into their sector from Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, CAS as well as other bases. CAS council member, Elizabeth Kalheim, did not comment despite the protests of the other governments in the FRFZ.

January 23, 2062 = Aztlan, The Sons of the Alamo are claiming responsibility for an attack on an Aztlan military supply depot in San Antonio.

January 24, 2062 = Both the CAS and the U.K. have erected blockades around shipping lanes to search for shedim. Ships are boarded and astrally scanned to search for the entities.

January 25, 2062 = The BodyWorks corporation introduced animated tattoos powered by nanotechnology.

January 26, 2062 = Aztlan, an Aztlan listening post just a few kilometers from the CAS border was leveled by a rocket attack.

January 27, 2062 = FRFZ, the Council of Denver, which consisted of William Huhuseca representing the Ute Council, Elizabeth "Betty" Kalheim representing the CAS, Jonathan Pope representing the Pueblo Corporate Council, Hector Ramirez representing Aztlan, Lucinda Gray Arrow representing the Sioux Council, and Jeremy Falloon representing the UCAS, met with Nicholas Whitebird, an ork shaman and representative of Ghostwalker. Whitebird conveyed Ghostwalker's demands that the Council turn over governance of the FRFZ to him. He claimed that the entire area was once Ghostwalker's but that he was forced to leave through unknown circumstances. Under Ghostwalker's proposal, he would be the ultimate governing authority in the FRFZ, although each sector would be run as it has before and would remain under their current laws while the Council of Denver would be authorized to maintain the FRFZ and make all decisions relating to policy, economy, security, and judicial matters as long as Ghostwalker is kept apprised. Ghostwalker would also send a delegate, most likely Mr. Whitebird, or sit on the Council himself should he deem it necessary. He would also have veto power over all the Council decisions and will pass down judgment for matters on which the Council became deadlocked. After a brief break, Ghostwalker himself attended the meeting. All representatives save Ramirez voted to capitulate to Ghostwalker's demands. Ghostwalker then revealed that he was aware of secret plans by Aztlan to shut down Denver's Matrix grids. To prevent that from happening, Ghostwalker turned over control of the grids to the Pueblo Corporate Council and announced that Aztlan is no longer welcome as a representative in the FRFZ. When Ramirez refused to leave, Kalheim revealed that the CAS had invaded the Aztlan sector and was relocating all Aztlan citizens. Ramirez, as well as Aztlan itself, was then expelled from the FRFZ. The CAS was given control over all Aztlan sector holdings. Ghostwalker then suggested that the Treaty of Denver be rewritten with the following stipulations: a) removal of Aztlan's status as a governing member. b) clarification of Ghostwalker's absolute authority. c) The establishment of a peacekeeping military body called the Zone Defense Force with representatives from each sector serving in it which would answer to Ghostwalker.
Ghostwalker transmitted an announcement via the Matrix regarding his recent acquisition of the FRFZ and the new rules of administration.

January 28, 2062 = The Seattle Metroplex and the Salish Shidhe Council announced that they will be making a joint bid to host the 2072 Winter Olympics.

January 29, 2062 = Seattle Metroplex, UCAS, Richard Laramie, a survivor of the Renraku Arcology situation, showed up at Roosevelt Elementary, his daughter's elementary school, and opened fire with a semi-automatic weapon. He managed to kill 13 children before Lone Star showed up. He then took his own life.

January 30, 2062 = Aztlan, an Aztlan military commander was assassinated by an armed drone while walking his dog.
The Aztlan government vigorously condemned the CAS for not being able to control its own terrorist element and made thinly veiled threats of retaliation should the Sons of the Alamo strike again.

January 31, 2062 = Atlanta, Georgia, CAS, Marcus Cross was arrested on the steps of the capital while trying to meet with various members of the CAS government in regard to the bounty placed on magicians who raise the dead. His arrest has escalated the growing unrest in the CAS voudoun community.

February 1, 2062 = Veteran rock band Erosthesia released their new album "Playing House" today. The album criticizes the Saito occupation of California, focusing mainly on San Francisco.

February 2, 2062 = The Wuxing cargo-freighter Jade Petal sank 150 kilometers due east of Western Samoa with all hands aboard lost. The suspected cause of the sunk ship is a hull breach of unknown cause. The ship was carrying a load of light mining equipment on behalf of Debeers-Omnitech.

February 3, 2062 = Wuxing asked the Corporate Court to investigate the sinking of the Jade Petal, claiming that a flight of Aztechnology Aguilar attack copters were spotted in the vicinity.

February 4, 2062 = Japan, Emperor Yasuhito rescinded the Yomi Island decree which called for the deportation of all Japanese metahumans to Yomi Island in the Philippines. No more metahumans will be deported there.

February 5, 2062 = Yucatan, Aztlan, the government launched a massive and extremely brutal offensive against the Yucatan rebels called Operation Rancho Obrero.

February 6, 2062 = China, on Mount T'ai Shan the number of nature spirits in the area has increased greatly. Several visitors to the ancient shrine reported to have seen visions of ancient gods. Many factions in China have begun to converge on the area to take control of the shrine.

February 7, 2062 = FRFZ, the feathered serpent Henequen abandoned his import/export business and left the city.

February 8, 2062 = Australia, Renraku Australia divisional manager Lucy Don's plane crashed in the Tanami Desert.

February 9, 2062 = China, before the forces converging on Mount T'ai Shan could actually battle over the shrine, the great dragon Lung appeared in the sky. He settled near the Temple of the Daughter of the Mountain and sent messenger spirits to the leaders of the various factions inviting them to meet with him. It is reported that he politely informed them that the mountain was under his protection and the first person to set foot on the 7,000 steps of the shrine with a weapon or orders to move on the mountain would serve as his next meal. All of the forces left the area without incident.

February 10, 2062 = Yucatan, Aztlan, rumors are pouring out of the area claiming much of the forest land was burned or flooded with toxins and chemical defoliants. The water supplies were also tainted with poison and much of the area's farmland was burned to the ground. Thousands of people were killed in the Aztlan offensive.

February 11, 2062 = Downtown Seattle, On Cindy Paulson's 12th birthday, a Metroplex jury convicted a man of stabbing her parents to death four years ago. John Morimoto, 37, was found guilty of aggravated murder and aggravated assault. A jury deliberated for more than three days before concluding that Morimoto killed Michael and Michelle Paulson in their Downtown apartment on January 3, 2057, and stabbed Cindy, then 8, in the stomach and neck. Prosecutors decided to seek the death penalty.

February 12, 2062 = Snohomish, professional assassin, "Ice Man" McDonald is being blamed for the sudden death of Derek Wheeler, an outspoken critic of Mayor Karl Feddersen. Mayor Feddersen called it, "A horrible act." and even though he was a critic of Mayor Feddersen, he says he, "respected the man."

February 13, 2062 = Tacoma, A public school teacher has been suspended with pay while Tacoma school officials investigate allegations that she took cash to excuse students from detention. School officials have not released the name of the teacher who works at Quirk Middle School. She was placed on a paid leave of absence after the school district received complaints from parents.

February 14, 2062 = Puyallup, A T-Bird was shot down by Lone Star Air Patrols when it failed to land after three warnings for the officers. The T-Bird crashed in an uninhabited neighborhood. After a short one hour search, the T-Bird was discovered to have been smuggling BTL chips. The pilot of the T-Bird died in the crash.

February 15, 2062 = San Francisco, California Protectorate, a CruiseView passenger ferry with 122 people on board was destroyed by a bomb that was smuggled on board. There were no survivors.

February 16, 2062 = Bellevue, a bomb destroyed a Forever 21 fashion store at 2PM in the afternoon. The terrorist organization known as Terra First! claimed responsibility. Anne Kidef issued a former letter stating the reason for the bombing was to, "combat the use of animal fur as fashion."

February 17, 2062 = Downtown, A string of jewelry heists has jewelry shop owners beefing up security. Lone Star as begun patrolling the so-called "Gem District" in Downtown Seattle after a string of robberies. According to Lone Star 12 jewelry stores were robbed in the past 3 weeks.

February 18, 2062 = Everett, The bounty on Eric Nelson was raised after a confrontation with Lone Star that left both officers dead. Eric Nelson was pulled over in a routine traffic stop. When Lone Star recognized him, they attempted to apprehend him. The officers names have not been released.

February 19, 2062 = Downtown Seattle, Charles Schmit, a Novatech middle manager was shot in the face while dining at a crowded local Starbucks. Two anglo human males fled the scene in an Ares Mudrunner.

February 20, 2062 = Seattle Seahawks runningback Jamal Williams was arrested this morning while attempting to buy BTLs from an undercover officer.

February 21, 2062 = Tacoma, two women were charged today in connection with a Lone Star chase that happened after two highway construction workers were struck and killed. Ramona Morgan, 48, and Sabrina Morgan, 26, both of Tacoma, had not been charged in the workers' deaths but were charged with fleeing from Lone Star after the accident Tuesday south of Lawrence.

February 22, 2062 = Everett, a suspicious fire destroyed six school buses, 40 percent of the fleet of the Grand Coulee Dam School District, as well as a driver's education car and half of the bus garage.

February 23, 2062 = Yucatan, Aztlan, rumors have surfaced that one of the feathered serpents that support the rebels was killed by Aztlan anti-aircraft missiles. Most rumors have stated the serpent in question to be Sonador, one of the leaders of the Aztlan Freedom League.

February 25, 2062 = Explosions rocked a recycling plant in Bellevue early this morning. The cause of the explosions is under investigation.

February 26, 2062 = Snohomish, An attempted break in was thwarted at a Mitsuhama facility this morning. 5 yet to be named men broke into the facility, but became lost when they discovered the blueprints they had were incorrect. Mitsuhama security quickly caught up to them and geeked them. Captain McDougall, of Mitsuhama Secuirty, said, "A zero zone is a zero zone."

February 27, 2062 = Universal Omnitech announced today that it has developed a genetic procedure to reverse the permanency of Boosted Reflexes.

February 28, 2062 = San Francisco, CFS, A CruiseView ferry in the San Francisco Bay was sunk when a bomb exploded on board. The Metahuman People's Army supposedly claimed responsibility, but then refuted the claim a few hours later. 122 people were killed.

March 1, 2062 = Global Technologies announced the release of Sim-Vironment technology. Sim-Vironment is a plain room that, through simsense technology, becomes a simulated environment in which people can interact through the use of electrodes or datajacks. The scenarios can accommodate up to five people and take anywhere from an hour and a half to three hours to complete. It also layers sensory impressions upon your own.

March 5, 2062 = Shadowland received a report written by Awakened World e-zine by Ms. Heather Edwards, a parabotanist, about the Yucatan War before it was edited by Aztlan censors under the threat of massive lawsuits. April 1, 2062 = A Lone Star officer was indicted Monday for the alleged assault of a teen over a month ago. Lone Star Officer Angel Pared, 28, was indicted for the aggravated assault of a 15-year-old Bellevue boy five weeks ago, along with several other charges, according to Prosecutor Robert Laurino.

April 2, 2062 = Downtown Seattle, Breeann Hooper, an 18 year old, was kidnapped from an underground parking structure near her father's Novatech offices.

April 3, 2062 = A charter bus carrying 45 people was struck in a multi-vehicle accident that killed a driver on the 405. State police say the driver of a Honda Civic, who was identified as 37 year old Justin Monroe, was heading the wrong way on Interstate 405 when it hit an SUV then spun into the bus. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

April 4, 2062 = An 18 year old driver crashed into a Bellevue house when he looked down to change a song on his Pocket Secretary, authorities said.

April 8, 2062 = A homeless Ork died defending a woman under attack in Downtown Seattle. The death of Hugo Tale-Yax provoked outrage after surveillance camera footage showed several people walking past his bleeding body without stopping to help.

April 9, 2062 = Downtown Seattle, The Seattle Fire Department says it has turned over to Lone Star a case in which someone tried to fire bomb a Downtown apartment.

April 10, 2062 = Tacoma, Lone Star has reported that a Tacoma man will not be charged in the fatal shooting of Thomas McKenzie, Lone Star believes the shooting was in self defense.

April 11, 2062 = Facing a severe budget crisis, Everett Mayor, Tyler C. Combs, said he would ask most Everett workers to freeze their salaries next year and also called for the elimination of 200 jobs that are currently vacant.

April 13, 2062 = Downtown Seattle, Lone Star arrested a man who was found inside Novatech field with several gasoline cans and a lighter. Several of the gasoline cans had been emptied onto the field.

April 14, 2062 = Tir Tairngire, Garth Stone takes an extended leave of absence from the Council of Princes.

April 15, 2062 = Santa Fe, Pueblo Corporate Council, NAN, a much-anticipated stickball game between the Santa Fe Coyotes and the Phoenix Kachinas was rescheduled after a bomb threat forced officials to clear the PCC Conference Center. PCC Security teams discovered four mini-charges in the basement of the stadium.

April 28, 2062 =  Bellevue, Lone Star arrested sixteen year old Raymundo Jenkins for stabbing SURGE inflicted classmate Angela Cardenas. The stabbing is believed to be race related and Raymundo may be charged with a hate crime. Cardenas is expected to make a full recovery.

April 29, 2062 =  Tacoma, Lone Star dismissed Sergeant Kimberly Sharpe for using excessive force during the arrest of Paulette Hancock. Hancock was caught shop lifting from a Stuffer Shack in November 2061.

April 30, 2062 = Renton, A 33 year old Ork woman was attacked in her home in the pre-dawn hours of the morning. Silvia Wilson was sleeping when a group of human males kicked the door in and physically beat her. The men then took everything of value and fled the scene.

May 21, 2062 = Auburn, Two men, Anthony and Brandon Jones, were arrested after a fire ripped through their grandmother's house in the early morning. Their grandmother was not home at the time, but the two men have been charged with attempted murder.

May 22, 2062 = Downtown, Neil Scott, a 27 year old computer programmer, was shot and killed this morning while driving home from work. Lone Star is seeking suspects.

May 23, 2062 = Bellevue, A missing fifteen year old Bellevue girl was found after her kidnapper was arrested at the Seattle/Salish-Shidhe border. Prosecutors are charging 43 year old Bao Chang with human trafficking.

May 24, 2062 = Tacoma, An unidentified Troll robbed a Stuffer Shack in broad daylight. Even though the man was caught on camera, Lone Star is having trouble tracking down the SINless man.

May 25, 2062 = Downtown, Ludwin Barreno, Lone Star liason with Downtown Mayor Catherine DeBurke, plead guilty this morning to patronizing a prostitute.

May 26, 2062 = Everett, Violence erupted near midnight as explosions rocked a normally quiet neighborhood. The target appeared to be Bernard Corbitt, a middle aged Mitsuhama office worker. Corbitt also owned and ran a small importing business. Corbitt was reported by his neighbors as a nice guy who often shared vegetables from his garden with them.

May 27, 2062 = Downtown, A fire on the monorail tracks in Downtown delayed multiple trains for several hours. Lone Star believes the fire was intentional.

May 28, 2062 = Downtown, A group of suspected shadowrunners were geeked by Aztechnology security forces right outside of Aztechnologies main office Pyramid.

May 29, 2062 = Renton, Lone Star made a major kamikaze bust with Triad ties.
Tacoma, An illegal gambling and sex den with Triad ties was broken up near the Puyallup border by Lone Star. Twenty-eight children and two adults, victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking, were rescued.

May 30, 2062 = Tacoma, The Tacoma bridge collapsed at 3:26 AM. A series of explosions destroyed  portions of its supports. Several casualties are been reported and there are dozens of injured as well.

May 31, 2062 = Redmond, A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead and another victim was in critical condition following an early morning double shooting in the Kingsgate neighborhood.

June 1, 2062 =Downtown, Five teens have been charged for their alleged roles in an armed carjacking early Thursday. Lone Star has not released the names of those arrested, due to them being minors.

June 2, 2062 =  Downtwn, An argument between people in two cars last night in Kent, led to one car hitting a man who had been a passenger in the other car, killing him. 38 year old Auxano Gonzalez was arrested.
